Students wishing to study in Hungary can apply for both paid and budget-funded spots with scholarships.
The application process begins in December-January and takes nearly 6 months.
This is because the student selection process is divided into 3 stages (each lasting 2 months).

Tax calculation for a director or specialist with a minimum salary:
Gross salary: 348,800 HUF

Taxes deducted from the employee's salary:
o Personal income tax (SZJA): 15% of 348,800 HUF = 52,320 HUF
o Pension contribution: 10% of 348,800 HUF = 34,880 HUF
o Health insurance contribution: 7% of 348,800 HUF = 24,416 HUF
o Employment contribution: 1.5% of 348,800 HUF = 5,232 HUF
Total deductions: 116,848 HUF

Net salary of the employee:
o 348,800 HUF (gross) – 116,848 HUF (taxes) = 231,952 HUF

Taxes paid by the employer:
o Social tax (SZOCHO): 13% of 348,800 HUF = 45,344 HUF

Total company expenses for one employee:

The share capital is declared during company registration, but the actual deposit into a bank account can be postponed.
If the founder is a foreigner, opening a bank account in a Hungarian bank is only possible after obtaining a residence permit (Hungarian residency). Banks require identification documents and proof of address in Hungary.
Thus, the share capital can only be deposited after opening a bank account, and the account can only be opened after obtaining a residence permit. Until then, the company can operate without depositing funds.

No, holders of a guest investor residence permit are not required to meet a minimum duration of stay in Hungary.
This means that:
• You can enter and leave Hungary at any time, without any restrictions on the number of days.
• You do not need to comply with the 90/180-day rule that applies to standard residence permits.
• Absence from Hungary will not lead to the cancellation of your residence permit.
Usually, when obtaining a standard residence permit (e.g., for work or entrepreneurship), there is a requirement to stay in Hungary for at least 90 days in every 180-day period. For holders of a guest investor residence permit, this rule does not apply.
Thus, you have complete freedom of movement and are not required to stay in Hungary for a specific number of days per year.

If you hold a residence permit in Hungary and are entitled to enter Hungary without a visa based on your citizenship, you can apply for a guest investor residence permit within 30 days from your first entry into Hungary.
If you have a residence permit in Hungary but, due to your citizenship, you are not entitled to enter Hungary without a visa, you cannot apply for a guest investor residence permit. In this case, you must first apply for a guest investor visa through the Hungarian Consulate.

Yes, after obtaining a guest investor visa, you can enter Hungary at any time during its validity period.
However, it is important to note that if you have committed to making an investment in your visa application, you must fulfill this obligation within the same period.
Additionally, after entering Hungary, you have 30 days to apply for a guest investor residence permit. Along with your application, you must provide documents confirming the fulfillment of your investment obligation.

The guest investor visa is valid for up to 6 months and cannot be extended.
After entering Hungary with this visa, you can apply for a guest investor residence permit, which is issued for up to 10 years.
This residence permit can be extended once for another 10 years.
It is important to note that your passport must be valid for at least 30 days beyond the expiration date of your residence permit. If your passport has a shorter validity period, the authorities may issue a residence permit with a shorter duration.
