In Hungary with guest investor visa or visa-free entry

Processing

Around 21 days; may be extended if additional documents are requested

Residence card delivery

Delivered by post to your registered address; in-person pickup upon justified reasons

Validity and extension

Initially 10 years, extendable for another 10 years

Investment confirmation

Certificate from the fund management company registered with the Hungarian National Bank.
Proof of holding the investment on a blocked account for at least 5 years.
For donations — university certificate confirming receipt of funds.

Family reunification

Spouse and minor children — can apply together with or after the main applicant.
Family residence validity matches the main permit's validity.
Right to work without additional permits.

Work and business

Allows self-employment or managerial positions.
Employment under a labor contract is possible.
Changes to investment conditions must be reported within 5 days.
