Main Requirements

Via Employer

  • Employment contract with a Hungarian employer (HU/EN).
  • Income confirmation: payrolls and/or bank statements.
  • Company registration documents and proof of no debts.
  • Letter from the employer confirming employment.
  • Diplomas/certificates if required.

Via Your Own Company

  • Registration of a Kft or Zrt in Hungary.
  • Proof of active operations and turnover.
  • Constitutional documents and director/owner income.
  • No tax/social contribution debts.

Accommodation

Rental agreement or property ownership certificate.

Health Insurance

Insurance covering the entire period of stay in Hungary.

  • Company incorporation documents.
  • Company registration certificate.
  • Tax filings and proof of no debts.
  • Letter confirming employment.

If necessary: diplomas/certificates confirming qualifications.

For Your Own Company

  • Constitutional documents.
  • Proof of active operations and turnover (statements, reports, contracts).
  • Company income sufficient for the director/owner to live on.
  • Confirmation of no outstanding debts.

Applicant's Mandatory Documents

  • Rental agreement in Hungary or property ownership certificate.
  • Health insurance valid in Hungary.
  • Bank statements confirming financial solvency.

Residence permit validity: 2 years with extensions up to 3 years at a time. Processing time: 70–90 days.
